About Our Business
| My name is Lynn Walker and I established SPECIAL EFFECTS PHOTOGRAPHY in 1989 in the basement of my home in southwest Wyoming. With two small daughters at my feet I built my business on the idea of "quality portraiture at affordable prices". I heard for so long how photographers were so expensive and always heard people comment on how they would love to have a family portrait but just "couldn't afford it". My goal was to make that luxury affordable and I did that by keeping my overhead low and working from my home. Most of my photos were shot in my own backyard or in locations around my home town. I often went to a clients home and photographed them in their own surroundings. My intent was to move into a studio when my girls were old enough to go to school - but I found that the convenience of working from home worked great for me and have kept my business in my home ever since. In 2003 I moved to beautiful Mountain View, Wyoming and bought a beautiful home with 2 1/2 acres of great photo backgrounds. I shoot most of my seniors and families on our property or in the surrounding mountains. I have traveled the country shooting wedding - from Virginia to Florida and Wyoming to Arizona. I love the challenge of finding new places and new opportunities. Presently I live in Wyoming with my husband. Our blended family has six children and two grandchildren, with two more on the way.
